Daniel de Jesús
The musician and multi-media artist, Daniel de Jesús creates artwork and music that are a fusion Baroque music and art, Mysticism, pop-culture, and the history Puerto Rico and South America.
De Jesús is an accomplished composer, singer, and cellist with eight studio recordings of his own music, and performs with orchestras and rock bands in the region and around the world. His collaborations have included painter and performance artist David Antonio Cruz, singer songwriter Courtlyn Carr, and Play writer Andrew Albert García.
Since 2006 Daniel has released 4 albums and 3 EP’s of his own original work. Daniel’s music is multilayered in its influences of Pop, Classical, and Rock sensibilities. Contextually, the music translates ideas of mysticism, spirituality, and mythic fantasy. His work has often been compared to the music of Jeff Buckley, David Bowie, Björk, and Tori Amos.
He has performed at venues across the world including the Park Ave. Armory, Millenium Park Theater, and World Café Live. and has worked as an arranger for nationally recognized artists.
